Prague Travel Guide: Rated 10/10
There are places that leave a mark on your soul, and for me, Prague may be one of my top memories traveling the globe with my wife, Pao. I’m actually super exciting to be sharing this Prague travel guide with you as this city really is special to me. From the moment we stepped onto its historic streets, we were captivated by its blend of fairy-tale charm, deep-rooted history, and lively energy. Every moment here felt like a scene from a movie, and I can’t wait to share how to experience Prague the way we did.
We spent hours at the Astronomical Clock, front-row, watching as the clock put on its famous hourly show, drawing in tourists from all over the world. With a liter of beer in hand (yes, over there, they drink beer by the LITER!), we sat back, took in the scene, and let the magic of Prague soak in. And when I say roaming the city at night was safe, I mean it—wandering the beautifully lit streets with Pao, finding hidden gems at every turn, made it one of the most romantic and unforgettable trips we’ve taken.

Top Attractions in Prague
Prague is a city of history, romance, and jaw-dropping architecture, and these are the spots that you cannot miss: I rank this list a 10/10 among the best in the world to simply strap up some walking shoes and stroll around the top attractions in Prague.
Charles Bridge
This is Prague’s most famous bridge, and you have to experience it at sunrise or sunset. Built in 1357, Charles Bridge connects Old Town to Malá Strana and is lined with 30 Baroque statues, making it feel like you’re walking through an open-air museum. We walked this bridge multiple times during our stay—it’s one of those places that never loses its magic.
When booking your hotel, make this the center point! I promise, the location near this bridge is the best walk out the door experience we’ve ever had. You’re in the heart of Prague at it’s best!
Prague Castle
Not just a castle, but the largest ancient castle complex in the world! Home to kings, emperors, and now the Czech President, Prague Castle includes the breathtaking St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the iconic Golden Lane (a charming little street with colorful old houses). The views from here are insane—you’ll see the entire city stretching out beneath you.
Old Town Square & The Astronomical Clock

This square is the heart of Prague—surrounded by Gothic and Baroque buildings, street performers, and the world-famous Astronomical Clock (Orloj). Watching it chime every hour was one of our favorite experiences. Grab a seat at a café, order a liter of beer (because why not?), and soak in the energy of one of Europe’s most stunning squares.
Gothic Quarter & St. Vitus Cathedral
The Gothic Quarter is where you truly feel Prague’s medieval past. The highlight? St. Vitus Cathedral. The cathedral’s intricate details, soaring spires, and stunning stained glass windows make it one of the most awe-inspiring churches in Europe. Inside, you’ll find tombs of Bohemian kings and holy relics dating back centuries.
Wenceslas Square
This bustling boulevard has been the setting for some of Prague’s most historic moments. It’s lined with shops, restaurants, and the impressive National Museum at the far end. It’s a great place to experience modern Prague, while still surrounded by its deep history.
Best Restaurants in Prague & Famous Foods

Prague is a food lover’s paradise, offering rich and hearty traditional Czech cuisine. Whether you’re dining in a historic beer hall or a cozy local bistro, the flavors of Prague will leave a lasting impression. Here are some must-visit spots and iconic dishes you can’t miss:
Here are some of the best restaurants in Prague.
🍖 Pork Knuckle at Porks
One of the best meals I had in Prague was the pork knuckle at Porks, a restaurant dedicated to traditional Czech meats. The slow-roasted, crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside pork knuckle is a must-try. Served with mustard, horseradish, and fresh bread, this dish is packed with flavor and pairs perfectly with a Czech beer.
🥘 Svíčková at Café Louvre
Svíčková is a classic Czech dish made with marinated beef sirloin in a creamy vegetable sauce, served with dumplings and topped with cranberry sauce. Café Louvre, a famous café that has been around since 1902, is one of the best places to try this comforting dish.
Trdelník (Chimney Cake) from Street Vendors

While Trdelník isn’t originally Czech, this cinnamon-sugar-coated pastry has become a beloved street food in Prague. You’ll find it all around the Old Town, and for an extra treat, try one filled with Nutella or ice cream!
🍻 Pilsner and Traditional Czech Beer Halls
Prague is home to some of the best beer in the world, and it’s often served by the liter! Visit Lokal, a famous beer hall, for an authentic Czech pub experience where you can pair your beer with fried cheese (smažený sýr) or grilled sausages.
🥩 Guláš at U Fleků
This historic brewery and restaurant has been serving up traditional Czech goulash (guláš) for over 500 years. The rich, hearty beef stew with dumplings and a dark beer on the side is the ultimate Czech comfort food.
No trip to Prague is complete without indulging in its incredible food scene! Whether you’re savoring pork knuckle at Porks, sipping a liter of beer in Old Town, or grabbing a sweet Trdelník as you wander the Charles Bridge, Prague’s food culture is an experience in itself.

Anywhere in this immediate area offers one of the best stays you could ever experience by foot. Wake up early to walk across Charles Bridge at sunrise, before the crowds arrive, and feel the magic of the city in its quietest, most peaceful state. In the evening, the bridge and surrounding streets come alive with street performers, musicians, and artists, making for an unforgettable night stroll.
For those looking for an extra touch of luxury with unmatched views of Prague Castle and the Vltava River, the Four Seasons Prague is one of the most prestigious hotels in the city.
